Sept 22 Update


Just a little update on what I’m working on now and what’s to come.

I’ve been working on stage 6 and just need to finish the boss.

There are now secondary ‘charged’ weapons once the ship reaches lvl 4.

Demo will remain at 4 stages and I will update the demo once I’ve finished the 0.6 milestone with a ‘Try Me’ mode to test the new weapons and hopefully get a bit of feedback.

Also added:

Lots of small little tweaks and fixes.

Integer scaling to correct aspect ratio issues

Analog gamepad support

The focus is now on content and getting the game finished. The roadmap is.

Remaining to finish 0.6 - Screen Clearing Bombs  +  Improved Controls Customisation

0.7 Stage 7

0.8 Stage 8

0.9 Stage 9 + Improve Visuals, Animations and Post-Processing effects

1.0 - Release Ready Stage 10 + Final Boss Stage + Ending

Any remaining bugs, polish,  master difficulty mode, high score list and side art

1.0 +  Gauntlet randomised horde mode, achievements, ship customisation, more waves and backgrounds 

I will try and post some short videos and update here after each milestone. TS is now at a stage where I want to talk about it more and hopefully get more feedback to help make it the best release I can. I will try and record some footage of me working on the stages and pixel art etc.

I know things have been a bit slow - it has certainly taken far longer than I planned and I might win an award for the longest longest short game in development 😎 In summary the main delays were from the multiple house moves and all the stresses that that entails and periods of sickness at the worst possible times. Now I’m settled and in a good place where I’m able to continue on with TS. Still mainly at weekends and when I can book annual leave days off work. I do have a week off planned late Oct to get a lot of the content done. Its all a balancing act with my full time job and trying to ensure I don’t get burned out.
